Industry veteran Marc Brooks recently joined G4 in 2025, bringing more than twenty-five years of real estate experience to the role. Mr. Brooks will spearhead the expansion of the firm’s originations footprint into major markets outside of New York City and support G4’s investor relations and asset management efforts.

 

Before joining G4, Mr. Brooks was most recently the Head of Originations at RMWC, a debt fund that provides whole loans and subordinate capital for construction, bridge, and pre-development projects of all property types nationally. Prior to that role, Mr. Brooks was an Executive Director at PGIM Real Estate Debt Strategies, where he originated, underwrote, asset managed, and assisted in investor relations on whole loans, mezzanine, and preferred equity investments for transitional properties and new construction of all property types nationally on behalf of several of PGIM’s debt and equity funds. Mr. Brooks has also worked in a similar capacity in debt funds at Deutsche
Bank/RREEF, CWCapital, and as a consultant to Pine River/Granite Point Mortgage Trust.

Mr. Brooks began his career in Washington, DC where he worked in financial analysis at CBRE and opportunistic acquisitions at The Carlyle Group. He has also held roles in mortgage brokerage, equity asset management, development, distressed investment and advisory, and M&A investment banking.  

Mr. Brooks graduated cum laude from Duke University where he received a BA degree in Public Policy and History along with a certificate in Markets & Management. He received an MBA degree in Finance with honors (Beta Gamma Sigma) from Columbia Business School.
